How train crushed middle-aged woman to death an Abuja

An eye witness account has emerged as to how a middle-aged woman was crushed to death by a passenger train from Kaduna to Abuja earlier today.

According to the eye witness the incident occurred about five minutes to the Kubwa Train Station in the Kubwa satellite town in Nigeria’s Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

As narrated to Channels Television, it happen as the woman, who was said to be driving in her private vehicle, attempted to cross the rail line as the train was coming on high speed.

The woman was killed on the rail track around the Kubwa area of Abuja, around 10am today.

The authorities of the FCT Command of the Nigeria Police and the Nigerian railway Corporation (NRC), were still to confirm the incident and provide other details at the time of this report.

It was however learnt that the remains of the victim had been evacuated by security personnel while the damaged car was immediately removed from the rail track in order not cause further accident.

This is the first time such an incident is being reported since the commencement of the Abuja-Kaduna train service by the NRC on March 28, 2022.
