Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum has unveiled National Agricultural and Land Development Authority (NALDA) Rural Housing Scheme and Empowerment Programme in Dusman area of Jere Loca government council of the state.

The governor while appreciating NALDA and federal government for bringing such remarkable projects to Borno state said,” . Indeed, the people of Borno state will use this opportunity to grow the economy of the state and the nation at large.”.

“There is a enough land in the state and Borno state government is ever ready to partner with NALDA for raining and dry season farming because our people needs more to pick up their livelihood and go back to their ancestral homes. ” Zulum said

He also expressed his appreciation to the federal government for its continuous support to the state while urging other state governors to key in into agricultural activities in order to have enough food supply in the country as directed by Mr. President.

In his remark, the Commissioner of Borno State Ministry of Agriculture and Mineral Resources, Engr. Bawu Musami, thanked NALDA for bringing such programs to the state for the benefit of the good people of Borno state.

He also extended his appreciation to the Governor Zulum for creating an enabling environment for the program to take plac, saying, ” Governor Zulum is doing well to revive the agricultural activities of the state.”

While the Executive Secretary of NALDA,.Prince Paul Ikonne, commended Governor Zulum for keying into the agricultural projects in the state, noting that, NALDA started its projects in Borno State because of the passion Zulum has for agriculture.

He added that what attracted them most to execute some of its projects in Borno State which are intended to be commissioned by the governor soon when each of the beneficiaries will be given a bedroom flat and one male goat and two female goats respectively to breed

He assured that NALDA Training Center would be established in Borno State soon while urging other state governments to key into the agricultural projects to have enough food supply in the country as directed by Mr. President.
