The head coach of the Super Eagles, Jose Peseiro, is set to drop Wilfred Ndidi and Kelechi Iheanacho from his final squad for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
The Leicester City duo are injured and are not likely to be fit for the tournament in Ivory Coast.
Ndidi missed Monday night’s 4-1 home win against Huddersfield Town, while Iheanacho has missed the Foxes; last two Championship games due to a muscular problem.
Sources have now told FRONTVIEW AFRICA that Ndidi and Iheanacho could be replaced by Terem Moffi and Alhassan Yusuf.
The Eagles have already begun camping in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The majority of the invited players are expected to arrive in Abu Dhabi from their different bases across Europe.
