Nigerian Oil company Aiteo to sponsor the Black Stars – Reports

The Black Stars of Ghana are set to get a new sponsor as Nigerian Oil Company, Aiteo are reported to be interesting in sponsoring the national team.

The Sponsorship arrangement between the national team and the Ghana National Petroleum Company has been cancelled and the football Association are said to be in negotiations with the Nigerian company.

Aiteo are the current sponsors of the Confederations of African Football Awards after signing a deal with the continents football governing body.

According to reports, the Nigerian oil company want to help develop sport in Ghana and if an agreement is reached the Black Stars will be the second national team to be sponsored by the Company.

Aiteo signed a five-year deal with the Nigeria Football Federation worth an estimated N2.9b which helps in the funding of salaries of the Super Eagles boss Gernot Rohr and coaches of all NFF’s national teams.
