Buhari Urges Nigerians To Support Tinubu, Calls For Unity

The immediate past President, Muhammadu Buhari has congratulated his successor, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on marking one year in office.

In a statement issued by his spokesperson, Garba Shehu, Buhari expressed his best wishes to Tinubu and appealed to Nigerians to “continue to strengthen the thread of national unity and goodwill”.

Buhari also urged citizens to “give their blessings and support” to Tinubu’s administration, so that “it can succeed in its efforts to build the Nigeria of our dreams”.

The former president expressed his wishes for a successful tenure in office by the Tinubu administration.

As part of the activities marking his one year in office, President Tinubu will inaugurate some projects complemented by Nyesom Wike, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

Additionally, Tinubu will deliver an address at a joint sitting of the Senate and House of Representatives on Wednesday.

Today, May 29, marks the one-year anniversary of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s inauguration.

Despite his controversial victory, Tinubu’s presidency has been marked by significant political dynamics and diverse opinions on his performance and policies.
