Members of the African Insurance Brokers Association (AIBA) have elected Chief Babajide Olatunde-Agbeja, past President of the Nigerian Council of Registered Insurance Brokers (NCRIB) as the Chairman of the association.

A statement made available by NCRIB, on Thursday in Lagos, said Olatunde-Agbeja emerged as AIBA Chairman, following an election at the ongoing African Insurance Organisation (AIO) Conference in Kenya.

NCRIB listed other members of the executives also elected with Olatunde-Agbeja to include Mr Shaibu Ali of Ghana as the Vice Chairman, Mrs Ekeoma Ezeibe of Nigeria as Secretary, Mr Yombo Bammeke of Nigeria as Treasurer.

Also, Mr Nelson Omolo of Kenya as Ex- officio, Mr Shola Tinubu of Nigeria as Ex- officio and Mr Jean Ntukamazina, Secretary General, AIO, as Ex Officio.

Mr Rotimi Edu, NCRIB’s President, congratulated the association’s new executives and noted that the fresh officials would take the body to greater height.

According to him, this will broaden the practice of insurance brokering based on its robust antecedents. (NAN)
