UECL: Orban nominated for Player of the Week (Hat-trick hero)


KAA Gent striker, Gift Orban is up for UEFA Europa Conference League Player of the Week award.

Orban scored a hat-trick as the Buffalos rallied to beat Icelandic outfit, Breidablik 3-2 on Thursday night.

The 21-year-old gave Gent the lead in the sixth minute.

Breidablik fought back with two goals from Jason Svanthorson.

Gent, however, won it through a penalty from Orban in the 54th minute and another strike 21 minutes from time.

Bodo/Glimt’s Faris Moumbagna, Svanthorsson of Breidablik and Maccabi Tel Aviv midfielder Dor Peretz are the other players nominated for the award.
