Road projects complementing my agricultural revolution in Niger State — Bago

Niger State Governor, Umaru Bago has said the numerous road projects across the State are aimed at complementing the agricultural revolution of his administration.

Governor Bago stated this at the groundbreaking ceremony of the five km Lemu township road in Gbako Local Government Area of Niger on Friday.

He said his administration would ensure that roads across the State are expanded to reduce travel time, ease movement of goods and services.

Bago re-echoed his administration’s drive in achieving the target of food security.

He said that the State Government would provide necessary farm inputs to farmers in the State in line with his agricultural revolution.

The governor stated that interventions will also come in the water sector, health and housing to improve the livelihoods of residents.

He called on lawmakers and critical stakeholders in the State to come together, and work for the common goal of moving the State forward.

Also so speaking, the Chairman, Gbako Local Government Area, Alh. Alhassan Batagi commended the governor for his New Niger initiative.

He also appreciated him for extending his infrastructural projects to rural areas to promote the growth and development of rural areas.

The Contractor handling the Lemu township road, assured the governor of quality and timely completion of the project in accordance with the contract terms.
