President Federation Cup: Rivers Angels hunt for ninth crown


Rivers Angels are poised to win a ninth women’s President Federation Cup title, DAILY POST reports.

Whyte Ogbonda’s side will be up against Naija Ratels in the final of the competition at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, Lagos on Saturday.

Rivers Angels, one of the most successful clubs in the domestic scene in Nigeria are favourites to win the trophy.

The Port Harcourt club defeated Delta Queens 2-1 in the semi-final.

Naija Ratels will be playing in the final of the competition for the first time.

Bankole Olowookere’s side claimed a 7-6 penalty shootout win over Remo Stars Ladies in the last four.

They are the first club from Abuja in 24 years to reach the final of the competition.
