President Federation Cup: Holders Insurance eliminated, Enyimba, 3SC zoom into round of 16

Holders Bendel Insurance were eliminated from President Federation Cup following a 2-0 defeat to Wikki Tourists on Thursday.

Wikki Tourists took the lead in the 59th minute, courtesy of Promise Damala’s superb free kick.

Owolabi Aremu scored the second goal deep into stoppage time.

Former champions Enyimba earned a spot in the Round of 16 following a 1-0 win over FC One Rocket.

Chijioke Mbaoma netted the decisive goal six minutes before the break.

At the Awka City Stadium, Shooting Stars recorded a 2-0 win against Lobi Stars.

Former Flying Eagles forward Christian Pyagbara headed past Lobi Stars goalkeeper Lucky Abdullahi in the 6th minute following a pull out by Muritala Taiye.

Substitute Mustapha Adams put the game beyond Lobi Stars with the second goal 16 minutes from time.
