Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari, said on Thursday he learnt with sadness the passing of the Prime Minister of Cote d’Ivoire Hamed Bakayoko.
President Buhari, on behalf of the Government and people of Nigeria, conveyed his deepest condolences to the family of the Prime Minister, President Alassane Ouattara, the Government and people of Cote d’ Ivoire as they mourn the death of Bakayoko, few months after the demise of his predecessor.
In a statement issued in Abuja by his Senior Special Assistant (Media & Publicity), Garba Shehu, President Buhari believed that the late Prime Minister, who was a close confidant of President Ouattara, would be greatly missed in the country and West Africa and fondly remembered for his deep commitment in strengthening unity and cooperation.
He prayed for the repose of the soul of the deceased and comfort for his loved ones and all who mourn.
