President Buhari changes name of University of Agriculture, Makurdi

President Mohammadu Buhari on Wednesday sent a bill to the National Assembly proposing the change of the name of the University of Agriculture Makurdi.

The new name proposed by president Buhari is Joseph Sarwua Tarka University of Agriculture, Makurdi.

The Senior Special Assistant to the President on National Assembly Matters (Senate), Ita Enang, disclosed this to State House correspondent in Abuja.

He also announced that the President has signed the Nigerian Correctional Service Bill into law.

The Act repeals the Nigerian Prisons Service Act.

With the signing, the Nigerian Prisons Service will now be called the Nigerian Correctional Service.
