OLX reveals success secrets at 5th anniversary in Nigeria

FROM BAYO AZEEZ, LAGOS –As the leading online classifieds site OLX.com.ng clocked five years in Nigeria, it has revealed secrets of its success with the period in the country.

The milestone was celebrated with an intimate gathering of different stakeholders including loyal OLX users and media partners at an exclusive event held in Lagos during the week where the management of the OLX appreciate its users and partners.

Speaking at the gathering, Lola Masha, Country Manager, OLX, explained that the success of business within the period was anchored on cvertain secrets which she highlighted as building of trust among customers from both selleing and buying ends; users’ identity verification and assurance of security on transactions that occur on the website.

According to her, the issue of identity, security and trust always stand as obstacles when it comes to transactions made online, especially in the Nigerian setting.

Masha also noted that many classified sites found it difficult to thrive in Nigeria because of their inability to solve the three aforementioned challenges among other things.
