NPFL fines Heartland N1m for unruly behaviour

Heartland has been fined N1 million for the unruly behaviour of their

players and officials against Rivers United on Wednesday.

Heartland’s players and officials encroached on the pitch to protest a referee’s decision during the game.

The Naze Millionaires will also play their next home game behind closed doors.

The Owerri club had recently been warned by the league organizers for similar disruptive behaviour in a recent home game, hence the decision to sanction them heavily.

Heartland are without a win in the Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, this season.

They will take on Bayelsa United in their next home game.
