Morata opens up on struggles in England, decision to leave Chelsea Former

Chelsea striker, Alvaro Morata has opened up on his struggles in England and why he took the decision to leave the Blues many years ago. Morata joined Chelsea from Real Madrid in 2017. The 31-year-old enjoyed a solid start at Stamford Bridge but he ultimately proved a flop and was shipped out to Atletico Madrid in 2019. Speaking with Radioestadio Noche, Morata reflected on his challenging time with Chelsea. “I had a really bad time in England,” Morata said (via Football London). “I spoke with my wife and told her I might go to a club that I knew, where there was less pressure. “I don’t look at social media; I don’t have time to beat myself up.”
