From BAYO AZEEZ, Lagos –The management of Med-View Airline Plc has again stated its plan to commence flight operations from its baseat the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), Lagos, to three Francophone countries in the West Africa sub region as well as Dubai.
In a corporate disclosure made by the Airline at the Nigerian Stock Exchange on Friday, it said the development followed the acquisition of a new B737-800 Aircraft.
According to the fast growing airline, inaugural flight operations to Abidjan (Cote d’Ivoire), Conakry (Guinea) and Dakar (Senegal) would commence on Friday, October 27, 2017.
“These destinations are in addition to the Anglophone Countries like Accra, Monrovia, and Freetown, increasing our destination in the West Coast to six,” Med-View Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Muneer Bankole said.
He also explained that the Dubai oper5ation is scheduled to commence by December this year, adding that “Med-View Airline Plc, in its quest to expand and improve on its international/intercontinental flights operations, recently acquired a modern Aircraft B777-200ER.”
Bankole had in February this year, disclosed in an interview with aviation correspondents that by April, the airline would expand its operations to Francophone countries within the West African States.
However, the initial set target was not accomplished by the aviation operator but now that it has acquired the required new aircrafts to drive the expansion, Med-View has assured take-off of the expansion by setting a precise date for the Francophone target as well as December for the proposed Dubai destination.
