The Director General, Benue Public Service Institute, Makurdi, Professor Terkura Tarnande has assured that the management team of the Institute would not fail Governor Hyacinth Alia in carrying out their assignment at the Institute.
The DG disclosed this on Wednesday when he led other management members of the Institute on a courtesy call on the Secretary to the State Government (SSG) Mrs Deborah Serumun Aber in her office in Makurdi.
Professor Tarnande who reiterated the resolve of the management to stop at nothing until they achieve the target of the Governor, informed that Governor Alia gave them an elaborate mandate part of which, he explained was to train public and civil servants in the state.
While congratulating the new SSG on her well deserved appointment, the DG noted that with the SSG who is determined to put in her best for the development of the state, the Institute would provide the needed services.
Professor Tarnande noted with joy that the new SSG was coming on board at the right time as she would used her wealth of experience to bear on her new assignment and appreciated Governor Alia for the appointment.
Responding, the new SSG, Mrs. Deborah Aber, appreciated God for the appointment and as well appreciated the management team of the Institute for the visit noting that the visit had spurred her to concentrate on her new assignment.
The SSG who expressed the belief that similar Institutes have been impacting positively on the people believed also that anyone that passes through this Institute would certainly be better.
She assured that she would remain focused and committed in contributing her quota in making Benue better for children yet unborn.
Those that accompanied the DG on the visit were Mrs. Cecilia Ohemu, Director Administration and Finance, Dr. Mark Nyitse, Director Research and Publication, Mr. Cletus Ishamave, Director, Administration and Mr. Moses Ode, the Institute Librarian.
