A 38 years old man Identified as Gabriel Iliya Magaji, of Masaka in Karu local government area of Nasarawa State, has committed suicide over his wife’s alleged infidelity.
Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Nasarawa State command, DSP Nansel Ramhan, confirmed the incident to our correspondent in a WhasApp chat.
“On Monday around 7am a report was lodged by a staff of Crystal School Masaka, in our office in Masaka division, that an unidentified man was found hanging in one of the classes, in Crystal school Masaka”
“Upon receipt of the complain, the DPO led his men to the scene and untired the corpse and took it to the General Hospital Mararaba, where he was confirmed dead by the doctor, so the corpse was deposited in the morgue” he said .
The PPRO further disclosed that there was no suicide note found on the deceased, as such the Police had commenced investigation into the matter to unravel the cause of his death.
On whether the man killed himself because his friends are sleeping with his wife as alleged, the PPRO said he cannot confirm the allegation untill investigations are concluded.
Meanwhile, a Facebook post said the 38 years old man took his life on Monday, in Masaka, Nasarawa State after he found out that his friends often slept with his wife in exchange of money.
“When he confronted his wife, she said, she is doing that because he can’t afford to bring food to the table”
“According to the wife, the friends of his husband often have sex with her and give her money of which she uses the money to buy food items which even the late husband and their 3 Kids eat” the post on Facebook alleged.
