Governor of Kwara state, North-Central Nigeria, Dr. Abdulfatah Ahmed has stated that his defection or not to another party would be a collective decision between him, the Senate President, Dr. Bukola Saraki and their supporters.
Governor Ahmed said this today during a town hall meeting with supporters which comprises of artisans, commercial motorcyclists, market women and youth groups who chanted songs expressing their desire to quit the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.
The governor stated that since he runs an all inclusive government his decision to quit the APC will also be a collective one as the ruling party has not met the aspirations of Kwarans.
He lamented the persecution of Dr. Saraki which he said started since his assumption of office as Senate President adding that party leaders were expected to have made amends.
Speaking on behalf of all Local Government Chairmen, councillors and supervisors, Chairman of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria, ALGON in Kwara state, Joshua Adekanye said all of them a ready to quit the APC once the decision is taken as the ruling party has dashed their hopes of development, security and economically.
