Korea to host 2020 World Team Table Tennis Championships

Busan, a large port city in South Korea, will host the 2020 World Team Table Tennis Championships.

The International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) made the disclosure on Tuesday via its twitter handle @ittfworld.

“Busan, Korea to host the 2020 World Table Tennis Championships. The first time ever Korea will host the event,’’ it said.

Meanwhile, the 2018 edition of the championships is ongoing in Halmstad, Sweden, where countries are participating in Championships’ divisions I, II and III.

Nigeria is in Division II off the event which began on Sunday and will end on Sunday.

Two cities, Ekaterinburg (Russia), and San Jose (U.S.) bid to host the championships alongside Busan.
