A heartbroken Ghanaian man has taken to social media to cry out after losing his girlfriend to what he claims were severe menstrual pains.
The young man shared the post on his ‘X’ account, @richden019, where he celebrated her life and announced the painful death.
Many were quite surprised at the death of the young lady who was only 24 years old and were curious to the tragic incident that ended her life.
Surprising many, he claimed she died from menstrual pain she had been suffering since she started seeing her period.
However, he was confronted as many claimed only menstrual pain could not cause her death.
He then revealed it was associated with an ulcer and anytime her period pain came, she was unable to eat as everything irritated her.
Update
In his recent post on ‘X’, the young man is seen apologizing for the wrong information he passed to the public. In his words, “Whatever happened to my friend has nothing to do with menstrual pains I am deeply sorry I have regrets for posting that.”
He went further to say, “Upon further research, I have found that the information I shared was incorrect. I apologize for any misunderstanding or misinformation and this incident has reminded me of the importance of thorough fact-checking.”
The importance of fact-finding before passing on information cannot be overemphasized most especially in this era where information can reach millions of people within seconds.
