Job Title: Fundraising & Donor Relations Specialist

Reporting To: Fundraising & Donor Relations Manager

Location: Abuja

Job Summary:

PRAWA is seeking a passionate and results-driven Fundraising and Donor Relations Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in securing funding, cultivating donor relationships, and advancing our mission. 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement comprehensive fundraising strategies to support organizational goals.
  2. Identify and cultivate relationships with potential donors, including individuals, corporations, and foundations.
  3. Plan and execute fundraising campaigns, events, and initiatives to engage donors and raise funds.
  4. Prepare compelling grant proposals, solicitation materials, and donor communications.
  5. Maintain accurate donor records and provide regular reports on fundraising activities and outcomes.
  6. Monitor and evaluate fundraising activities to track progress toward goals and adjust as needed.
  7. Stay informed about trends and best practices in fundraising and donor relations to continuously improve strategies and results.
  8. Represent the organization at networking events, conferences, and meetings to promote fundraising efforts and build relationships with potential donors.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in any relevant field.
  2. Proven experience in fundraising, donor relations, or related roles within the nonprofit sector.
  3. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and inspire diverse stakeholders.
  4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  5. Excellent organizational and project management abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  7. Knowledge of Ethical fundraising practices and regulations.
  8. Proficiency in donor management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
