We are now looking for a Digital Content Officer to join the team on a full-time, permanent basis, working 35 hours per week.

The Role

As a Digital Content Officer, you will provide all-around support for creating and developing our digital content, presence, and online communities.

Supporting our main website, subsites, and Publications Library, you will use the Drupal Content Management System to post online content.

Undertaking regular reviews, you will ensure that all content is accurate and meets the priorities, needs, and objectives of us and our audience, adhering to our templates and style guide.

You will also source and manipulate accompanying imagery, using graphic design software to ensure all content is in alignment with our house style and branding guidelines.

Additionally, you will:

– Collaborate to develop targeted digital campaigns
– Assist campaign delivery through social media and web channels
– Support the creation and management of social media networks
– Produce and edit video and audio
– Aid the production, presentation, and dissemination of our podcast series

About You

To be considered as a Digital Content Officer, you will need:

– Experience of working with digital content on a day-to-day basis
– Experience working with social media and online platforms to support events or marketing work
– Experience in updating websites and managing online communities
– Experience working with civil society organizations in a marketing or communication role
– Experience in writing for both digital and print
– Experience producing and editing digital (audio and visual) material

International applicants must have the right to work in the country in which they wish to reside, with a time difference of plus or minus two hours from the UK (GMT/BST).

The salary range advertised in GBP is applicable in the UK only. The salary offered in another country would depend on the local terms and conditions. We only use the UK salary structure to determine starting salaries, but it will not apply to salaries outside the UK thereafter.

Interviews are scheduled to take place w/c 1st April 2024.

IIED is a hybrid working organization and you are likely to be working from home most of the time. As such, you will need a suitable place to work and a reliable, fast internet connection.
