As part of the continued response to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the United Nations Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF), has handed over $8 million worth of personal protective equipment (PPE) to Nigeria.
The equipment were handed over to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) and National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPCHDA) in Abuja yesterday.
The PPEs are meant to help protect workers at the frontline in the fight against COVID-19.
UNICEF is a United Nations agency responsible for providing humanitarian and developmental aid to children worldwide.
