COVID-19: Nigeria records 86 new infections

Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC), on Sunday reported one fatality and 86 new infections from seven states.

NCDC revealed this via its verified website on Monday.

According to the Nigerian News Agency (NAN), the 86 fresh cases reported on Friday represented a drop from the 116 instances reported the day before.

According to the Nigerian Public Health Institute, the death toll has now reached 2,906, with a total of 212,713 infections recorded across the country.

According to the report, 204,379 COVID-19 patients in the country have recovered and been discharged.

The 86 new instances were reported from seven states: Kaduna (41), Lagos (24), Osun (10), Bauchi (6), Ekiti (2), Ondo (2), and Edo (2), according to the report (1).

According to the NCDC, there are presently 5,428 active coronavirus cases in the country, with a total of 3,340,313 blood samples analyzed since the pandemic began.

The national response actions have continued to be coordinated by a multi-sectoral national Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) activated at Level 2.
