By-election: Lawan wins Chibok State Assembly constituency in Borno

Hon. Pogu Lawan of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has emerged winner of the By-election for the Chibok LGC State Constituency in Borno State

He scored a total 9,101 votes and was returned elected. He was followed by the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP candidate, Habila Bello who scored 2,117.

The by-election in Chibok Local Government Area was as a result of the death of the Member-elect of Chibok LGC State Constituency, Pharmacist Nuhu Clark.

Hon. Lawan is the former APC LGC Party Chairman, State Commissioner for Special Duties and Inter-governmental Affairs before contesting. for the by-election under the platform of the ruling party APC.
