Benue Public Service Institute to collaborate with FRSC for better performance of drivers

The Benue Public Service Institute (BPSI) is set to collaborate with the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) in the training of drivers for safety of lives on the highways

The Director General (DG) of the Institute, Professor Terkura Tarnande disclosed this on Friday during a courtesy call by the officials of FRSC in the state on the management of the Institute.

The DG who informed that there was need for synergy between the two organisations insisted that it was not only for good working relationship but also the improved performance derivable from training of road users as they would develop skills to function better.

Earlier, the leader of the team from the commission, DCC MJ Ojubu had sought for collaboration between the commission and the Institute.

Ojubu noted that the collaboration was important particularly at this ember period as he sought for the training of drivers both commercial and government drivers by the Institute to ensure the safety of lives.

According to him, the Institute was capable of providing adequate training needed by drivers to save lives while on the highway and appealed for synergy for the two organisations to save the society.

Some Directors including Mrs Cecilia Ohemu, Director Administration and Finance and Dr. Mark Nyitse, Director Research and Publication accompanied the DG to receive officials of the commission.
