Belarusian president says Russia not planning to invade Ukraine

Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko

Belarusian President, Alexander Lukashenko, on Monday dismissed rumors in western media that Russia is planning an invasion of Ukraine.

According to Lukashenko, the Western has now labeled Russia as contemplating an invasion on Ukraine.

“They placed a label on it because you need a reason to beat Russia, even though no one in Russia is going to attack Ukraine.”

“What is going on in Ukraine, what is going on there, and what NATO and the Americans are planning there is unacceptable not only for Russia, but also for us,” Lukashenko stated.
