Ahead of WC qualifiers against Ethiopia, South Africa, Boakye Yiadom, Wakaso recalled to Black Stars

Some players have made a return to the Black Stars after a long hiatus with Beitar Jerusalem striker Richmond Boakye Yiadom earning a recall to the team after three years all in a bid to solve the team’s goal scoring crisis.

He is not alone as Reading FC defender Andy Yiadom has also been handed a call up after being overlooked in Milovan Rajevac’s first call ups.

Mubarak Wakaso who was injured in the last national assignment has now been recalled while Asante Kotoko captain Ismael Abdul Ganiyu who has been a regular fixture in the Black Stars in recent times was snubbed by Milovan Rajevac in his first call up but has now been called up.

The duo were named in the initial squad that was announced but they were later left out of the final squad that played against Zimbabwe in the double header.

KAS Eupen goalkeeper, Manaf Nurudeen has also been recalled after he was overlooked in Milovan’s first call up.

Ghana will take on Ethiopia in South Africa on 11th November before playing against South Africa three days later in Ghana.

Anything aside a win for Ghana in the two matches will mean that there will be no World Cup for the four time AFCON winners.
