The CAF has increased in 2019, prize money to be shared between the teams participating in the Africa Cup of Nations with the Champions earning US$4.5 million,Runners-up US$2.5 million,Semi-finalists US$2.0 million and Quarter-finalists US$800,000.
24 teams including the Super Eagles of Nigeria are competing in the tournament with Nigeria meeting Burundi in the first group B match on Saturday at the Alexandria stadium.
Nigeria is tied in group B with Burundi, Guinea and Madagascar.
