Dana Air apologies to passengers after its plane skids off Lagos airport runway
Dana Air has apologised to its passengers and is re-timing flight operations following the incident of one of its aircraft skidding off the Murtala Mohammed International Airport runway in Lagos State.
It would be recalled that an aircraft belonging to Dana Airline, about 8.25 a.m. on Tuesday morning, veered off the runway at the Murtala Mohammed Airport, Ikeja, while trying to land.
Reacting to the incident in a statement on Tuesday in Lagos, the Head of Corporate Communications, Mr Kingsley Ezenwa, said:

“Dana Air has extended its sincerest apologies to all passengers affected by the recent schedule disruption resulting from the runway excursion involving one of its aircraft at Lagos airport.
“We understand the frustration and inconvenience experienced by passengers whose travel plans were disrupted due to the incident and we are deeply sorry,” he said.

According to him, remaining flights for the day have all been retimed and the passengers on these flights have been updated via email, sms and calls.
He re-assured affected passengers that the airline was working diligently to minimise disruption and accommodate their travel needs.
”We commend the experience, professionalism and swift response demonstrated by our crew in handling the runway excursion incident,” he said.
