Governor of Cross River State, South-South Nigeria, Senator Bassey Otu, has promised to make the Calabar Carnival the biggest Street Party in Africa.
” This is one of our campaign promises to move the Carnival to the next level,” Governor Otu said as he flagged off this year’s annual Calabar Carnival.
“If you look at the environment, you will see that everyone is ready to vibrate,” the governor noted.
He noted that the Calabar Carnival had been reinvigorated and commended First Bank Nigeria Zenith Bank, United Bank for Africa (UBA), and Sterling Bank for keeping to his Administration.
Otu said Cross River State remains the preferred destination for Tourism and appeals to investors to take advantage of Calabar.
Governor Otu was accompanied by the Minister of Sports Development, Senator John Owan Enor, and the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Betta Edu, as well as Chief of Defence Intelligence, Service Commanders, Deputy Governor Peter Odey, Speaker of the Cross River State House of Assembly Albert Ayambem, Chairman of the Cross River State All Progressives Congress (APC), Alphonsus Ogar Eba and South-South Chairman of the APC.
