In his commitment to provide succour to indigenous students of Borno state, through the payment of scholarships, Governor Babagana Zulum has approved the payment of N50,000,000 as registration fees for 2,019 Borno students of Ramat polytechnic.
The registration was for the 2021/2022 academic session.
Executive Secretary of Borno State Scholarships Board, Malam Bala Isa, disclosed this to newsmen on Monday, at the Board headquarters in Maiduguri.
Bala also explained that, the approval was part of the Governor’s commitment to supporting capacity development of indigenes through different professions.
He said that the Board will skip the payment of Federal Universities scholarship until students resume school after ASSU strike have been resolved.
The Executive Secretary thanked Gov. Zulum for his support and urged beneficiaries to make judicious use of the financial aid by making Borno proud in their examinations.
The leadership of NUBOSS led by it President Wajiro expressed gratitude to the Executive Governor, assuring that scholarships will go a long way, in ameliorating their financial needs while urging the students to make used of the money for the purpose it is meant for .
