Kamaru Usman has defended his UFC welterweight title at UFC 261 after defeating Jorge Masvidal for a second time.
The Nigerian Nightmare knocked out challenger Jorge Masvidal with a strong right cross in the second round to shock of most fans in Jacksonville, Florida where the fight was staged.
The victory means Kamaru Usman remains unbeaten in UFC as he secured his 18th straight victory.
This was the second time Usman and Jorge Masvidal had shared the Octagon together, with the first fight taking place back in July of 2020 which Usman won via unanimous decision.
His record at UFC now stands at 14 straight wins and zero losses.

Recall that Usman became the first African UFC champion in 2019 when he beat the then UFC Welterweight champion Tyron Woodley.
Having defeated Masvidal for a second time, the champion is now expected to face Colby Covington for a second time who he knocked out 18 months ago.
Earlier, Legit.ng reported that Kamaru Usman, who is the first African UFC champion, has never denied his roots since he began his journey into the Octagon.
The 33-year-old is also a proud father and a loving dad to his daughter Samirah who he cherishes so much.
The Delta state-born fighter posted a video on Facebook as he was exercising his fatherly duties to his only child as they were spotted dancing to Tekno’s ‘PuTTin’.
Father and daughter enjoyed the music with a ballet type of dance and had fun which each other while communicating in pidgin English.
Usman was in the corner of newly crowned UFC heavyweight champion Francis Nganou who defeated Stipe Miocic at UFC 259 via a second-round knockout. The welterweight king joined the Cameroonian to help him improve in his wrestling skills ahead of the fight with the Croatian.
