A flabby Super Eagles team were trounced two zero by the new magic team at the African Confederation games, AFCON 2019 taking place in Egypt.
Madagascar opened score in the 13th minute through Nomenjenehary while the hope of the Eagles were sealed when the second goal came in the 53rd minutes .
This victory was predicted by the Madagascan coach, John Edward Nicolas Dupuis early in the day when he said he had set a one issue target for his team and that is beating Nigeria.
Madagascar which is now tops of group B with two wins, one draw and seven points has qualified for the second round along with Nigeria which has two wins, one loss and six points.
The third position goes to Guinea which has one win after beating Burundi two zero as well as one draw and one loss. Guinea also has a chance of scaling to second round if it falls into the best four of the six 3rd place teams.
Burundi took the last position after losing all its three matches in the first round.
