Security forces seized 23 kg of explosive materials from a terrorist camp discovered in the mountains of Kasserine Province in western Tunisia, the Interior Ministry announced on Monday.
“A few days ago, the regional authority in Kasserine discovered a hiding place of terrorist elements in one of the Kasserine’s mountains,” said a ministry statement.
“The security forces found equipment used to manufacture mines as well as a large quantity of ammonia and high explosive materials,” the statement added.
Since 2011, Kasserine Province bordering Algeria has been known as a main stronghold of armed extremist elements. （Xinhua/NAN）
