2023: Theater Commander assures adequate security, hitch free elections

The Theater Commander Northeast Operation Hadin Kai, Major General Ibrahim Ali, has assured that the military will support the police and other security agencies in ensuring normalcy, hitch free, fair and credible elections before, during and after the general elections.

Maj. Gen. Ali gave the assurance on Tuesday during an interactive session with journalists in in Maiduguri, The Borno State capital.

Major General Ali said “election is less than 5 days, we have the mandate to support the police, the leading agency in election security.. We will support the police to ensure that normalcy, , free and free election”.

” We have put in plan we have make enough preparation for successful, free fair and secured elections.. Just last week we had a meeting with the Chief of Army Staff, GOC Brigade Commanders among other commanders where he directed that we should ensure hutch free elections in our areas of responsibilities “, the theater commander added.

“I call the interactive session to introduce myself as the new theater Commander. Media is critical to success of any operationally.”

”As you all know the operation was change from Lafiya Dole to Hadin Kai to enhanced synergy and collaboration between the military , sister security agencies and other stakeholders, which media plays a great role”.

He further said: “the media plays a critical role in the fight against insurgency, so I am commending you for your patriotism, and reportage and I urge to continue to partner and support us to restored lasting peace “.

” I am ready to partner with the media my doors are always open for information, clarifications on security issues”.
