18 abducted Chibok girls handed over to families – LG Chairman

The Executive Chairman of Chibok Local government Area of Borno State, Hon Umar Ibrahim Hauri has handed over the 18 rescued abducted Chibok girls to their respective families over the weekend.

Among the eighteen abducted girls, ten of them are part of Chibok girls and the remaining eight are the abducted girls from Pemi Ward of Chibok Local government Area.

Hon. Hauri said The Executive Governor of Borno State, Babagana Zulum has approved the sum of N1,400,000 and food supports for the victims through the Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development.

Each of the ten Chibok girls received the sum of 100,000 naira with food items, while the eight other victims of Pemi Ward also received 50,000 naira, with food items.

The Executive Chairman while presenting the items, thanked Governor Zulum for his tremendous support and urged the beneficiaries to make good used of it.

In attendance at the handing over were the Vice Chairman, Local Government Secretary, Councillors, traditional leaders, APC stakeholders, women leaders, among others.
